how much battery life do you get on your G2 ?

Battery life is exceptional with this phone once you get rid of all the wakelock stuff that does not allow the phone to sleep.

Could someone list what these things might be? I am new to all this and not sure what all the "wakelock" items are. Thanks

Throughout the day I use my phone mostly to watch YouTube vids, web browse and play games, and I talk for maybe half an hour a day. My phone will have no problem lasting from 8:30 to 22:30/23:00

Hi, I bought my g2 a couple of weeks ago and mine doesn't last that long compare to what i read on reviews and forums, usually around 20 hrs minimal usages (1-2 hour facebook, 2 to 3 hour instagram and tweeter and other messaging apps) mobile data is always on but i always turn the phone off before going to sleep. Is there something wrong with the battery? any help would be much appreciated.

Thats 5 hours of on screen time plus 20 hours, I don't see how this is bad?

Now I'm getting about a good 4 to 5 hours before I need a charge, I turned off all the apps that are running in the back ground and it's only getting worse maybe some one can enlighten me:-[

The problem is that the screen is SO Dmn GOOD so I use it to watch videos all the time. Guess i average about 10h. Think it would go 36h if i just used it for basic needs. But its so much fun...

Here are some tips. Reboot your phone after charging. Clear cache with this widget quite often. i hope this would help

I'm sure the battery life is great, but man, use your phone! Two and a half days and only 3.5 hours screen on time?

I know you're doing this for science, but if you don't start using that phone we will have to confiscate it and give it to someone who will use it! ;-)

12 hours on wifi and watching movies without stopping.

Or up to 2 days with some sms, calls and hour wifi.

If you watched movies without stopping that's 12 hours of on screen time. I know the battery is good but come on!

I've had 9 hours on screen time(downloading, browsing, playing games and music) with wifi on and with about 30% left, so it may be possible.

That's what I figured, I doubt he is watching movies on lowest possible and if he is then that a major injustice on that awesome screen!

I dunno. The screen is pretty bright and good quality anyway, so i think it would be reasonable to use lowest brightness to watch films on in the evening (or any of time of day under british weather ).
