proximity sensor issues

So my phone turns off right when i turn it on.. I've been lurking around and I've heard its the proximity sensor.. there's an app called phone tester that i got from the play store, it said the P.S. was "far"
Do all the G2s say that or is it just mine cuz it's faulty?
