Why I root all my devices:

*Block ads with Adfree
*Freeze or remove bloatware
*Viper4Android (improve music sound quality)
*Xposed Framework (lots of great mods)
*full phone backup in custom recovery
*Camera mods
*Custom ROMs (improved performance, UI customization)
*Custom kernels
*Automate tasks (launch maps when GPS enabled; disable sync, WiFi, data when screen off, etc) with Tasker or MacroDroid
*control app permissions
*various apps that require root

You can unroot from within SuperSU.

Where did you get AdFree? Version i side loaded says its too old and to update...
Also, I highly recommend rooting the phone, it makes so many customizations.

Also, OP, don't do a stupid thing like I did (wasn't thinking about it)....i deleted my google keyboard (backed up of course) because I had swiftkey installed and wanted to get rid of the keyboard popup in the corner...set a pin encryption on the device, when it rebooted, it wanted a pin, but no keyboard...so I had to hard reset it...phone isn't toast, just have to be creative...if I had setup a bluetooth keyboard before, I would have been fine...live and learn I guess
