Why is my battery on my LG G2 d800 draining very fast on the internet?

battery on lg g2 d800 draininh very fast on the internet.

Hello. I live in India and am currently using lg g2 d800 unlocked version with a local carrier Airtel. My battery life on internet is horrible about 1% per minute. Is this because 4g isn't available here and the mobile n is always searching for 4g.

Possibly. Go to Settings, Mobile Data, 3-dot menu, Mobile Networks, Network Mode, and set it to 3G....or, as it says on my phone, WCDMA Only.

Hey belodian no network options in lg g2 d800 (at&t) on kitkat.........can you please post a pic of your .............thanks

It may be possible to change the preferred network settings via the Service Menu....if you can find the code for gaining access to that. The codes vary from one version of a device to another, and don't always work on carrier-locked phones. Go to your Phone dialpad, and try the code 3845#*800#, and press Send.
The Service Menu is also known as the Hidden Menu. Be careful in there.

Bear in mind also that your battery problem may be unrelated to this. It could simply be that your existing 3G signal is poor, which will certainly increase battery consumption.
