Headphones not recognized when cabled to PC
I want to pass audio from my android (5.0.2) LG G2 to a Win 7 PC with a 3.5mm cable. If I plug the cable or any headphones into the phone, the headset icon is displayed and music is routed correctly. However, if I plug the cable into my PC's front or rear mic jack first and then plug it into my phone, the phone does not recognize that the headphone jack was connected. Music plays through the speaker. As soon as I disconnect the PC end, the phone thinks headphones were connected. I tried a different cable with no luck.
Sometimes I can connect to the phone first and then to the PC and I can send audio through. Other times when I connect to the PC the phone thinks the line out was disconnected.
