Okay guys, I've been at this for a while and I cannot get my phone to have a functional recovery.

I did try to install CloudyG2 3.3 and I must have done something wrong. When I boot normally into recovery, I get a DemiGod error.
The phone/OS works just fine, but recovery is messed up.

    I found this youtube video:

I've downloaded all of the LG G2 D801 T-Mobile files:
    Listing of 20a_partitions

I am able to get ADB to recognize my device and I am able to 'send' commands via fastboot BUT my phone doesn't seem to accept them.

I've tried via command line and using SRK tool:

Here is what happens when I try to run the fastboot commands in fastboot mode (UP button + USB plugin)

Here is what I get when I try to run SRK Tool:

So as you can see from the output, the phone is detected and it seems like the files are in the process of being 'sent' but nothing actually installs.
When I was doing it in command prompt, I let it sit for a few minutes for a few commands and they just sat there at writing.

On the phone itself, this is what it states at this moment:

    [500] fastboot mode started
    [500]--reset--
    [500]--portchange--
    [500]--reset--
    [500]--portchange--
    [500] fastboot: processing commands
    [500]fastboot: getvar: partition-type:laf
    [500]fastboot: getvar:max-download-size
    [500]fastboot: download:00e00000
    [500]fastboot: flash:laf

That's all I get on the phone, nothing changes. It just sits there idle.

I am unsure what to do and was wondering if anybody knows how I can fix this?

    I have a couple questions:
    1. Is an unlocked bootloader required for this method?
1a. Did you unlock it, if it was locked?

    2. Does this method explain what some of this writing is? I have never seen these images before: aboot, laf, dbi, persist, PrimaryGPM, tz (I have seen tgz files before, but that's a Linux thing).

    3. Can you link to what method you used?

Edit: you may need to reflash the stock images. I found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2432476

That kind of seems like a situation you were in. But not owning a G2, I can't be sure. If I HAD owned a G2, I am sure I would have put it into the same situation at least once.

Another question: What happens when you type in this: fastboot devices

Do you get some kind of serial number?

    Hey Golfdriver,

I am unsure if an unlocked bootloader is required, all I've seen is that you need to have TWRP (if you are on lolipop, which I am) and create a recovery.
As I am somewhat new to this, I was running an ABD command a week or so ago and I copied a recovery.img file to my recovery section and I suspect that screwed this up.

This is the document I was following to try to correct my factory images.
    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6R...ew?usp=sharing

I guess right now, I am just trying to get my phone back to original before I begin again trying to install CloudyG2.

Right now, If I try to go into download mode (up + USB on reboot)

    I get the following:
    [500] fastboot mode started
    [630]--reset--
    [640]--portchange--
    [650]--reset--
    [650]--portchange--
    [690] fastboot: processing commands

I did try to use just now LG tools to reflash back to stock rom....but the program requires you to reboot into download mode.

When I try to get into download mode...I get the screen as documented a few lines up.

    I've also been getting a

    CRITICAL ERROR:

    DemiGod Crash Handler: Critical Error!

Press key to choose Dlmode or reboot

I am able to get into DL mode and when I try to run the LG flash tool, it only goes to 4% and looses the connection. States "upgrade stopped due to an error"

    Follow up: were you trying to flash this: [ROM][LP][Jul 05] -=- CloudyG2 3.3 -=- [All … | LG G2
    Yes I was.

Actually I am pretty sure I found the guide that I screwed up on:

[GUIDE] INSTALLING TWRP on LGG2 (VZW, AT&amp… | LG G2

I followed option 2: OPTION 2 via dd. Push just the recovery img like this:

That is what I think caused my issues.

When I try to run ADB devices, it identifies the device.

When I try to run fastboot devices, all I get is:

    command prompt> fastboot devices
    ? fastboot

    That's all.

    Thanks Leo,

I took a look at that link and I have tried to run the fastboot command.

It seems that the phone does react to the fastboot commands being entered, but it does not reply nor do what it is being told.

    The first command was:

    Fastboot Erase Recovery

Here is the output from CMD:

    Attachment 222712

    What shows on my phone:

    [409780]fastboot: getvar: partition-type:recovery
    [409830]fastboot: erase: recovery

That is why fastboot commands aren't working. Can this be run as an administrator?

    Hey Golfdriver,

I just tried using CMD via Administrator level and it is still the same way.

You may want to put in a post over on the G2 forum at XDA. There may be an actual device developer (the G2 still has a pretty active development community) that could diagnose and give some suggestions.

Thank you, I tried that first but for some odd reason, I must have stumbled into the bermuda triangle of fastboot because as technical as the xda forum is, I haven't had any action in my thread, other then a conversation with myself haha

Sometimes its just a visibility thing...

I wish I could give you more help, I am just not familiar with the guts of the G2's software. A lot of these phones do things just a wee bit differently than others, and then model to model. It makes for some frustrated users... that's why I applauded LG for moving to a near stock, Nexus-like approach with the G series starting with the G4 and Android 6.0. I hope the G5 is the same.
