I just received this device last night and finally ran it out of battery at 3pm (central) today. I am using it on T-Mobile.
JIC this sounds rambly... I am working right now, SUPER multi-tasking (work with AT&T Wireless Live Chat) so, yeah, excuse that please!
1. Over Heating
Right after I received it (7:20pm last night), I plugged it in with the charger that came in the box and charged it up to 100% (took about a half hour). While it was charging I was unpacking from my vacation and doing a few other things. I was also messing with the Knock On (just double tapping the screen to turn it on to the default first setup page).
At least not until I was using it last night and this morning and realized that setting up my apps by downloading, installing and logging in caused my phone to get really hot to the point where it almost hurt to touch the power/volume keys on the back.
My mom even noticed it on my G3 and she doesn't even notice it on my S4.
I know it isn't my case cause it isn't rubber and I took it out and let it cool down before using it again.
I'm not sure if it is me or T-Mobile being mean but I seem to always get devices that over-heat by simply making calls... (which my S4 does but I haven't made any calls long enough on my G3 to find out yet).
2. Charging/Battery Life
I plugged my phone it at 3p today (it lasted 7 hours with about 3 hrs and 30-45 minutes of screen on time which is pretty good in my book, not spectacular though). Anyway, it is 5:37pm right now and is it only at 77%. Is this because I am using my old Samsung Galaxy S4 charger or does it normally take about 3 hours to charge this device from 1% while it is off? (my device literally turned off cause I was trying to kill it to try and calibrate the battery)
I really only have 2. Everything else is great!

I noticed that when I plugged it in after inserting my SIM & MicroSD cards and the battery that it automatically turned on... I can charge it off now (which is what I am doing now, more on this later). I just found that weird.
Anyway, while I was messing with the knock on I had my Samsung Galaxy S4 underneath it, off and charging as well (since I am giving it to my dad). My S4 usually doesn't get warm unless I am using it hardcore BUT I noticed that my G3 was warm. Not, too, hot but warm. So I picked it up and felt my S4. My s4 was room/normal temperature for charging. I didn't think anything of it....At least not until I was using it last night and this morning and realized that setting up my apps by downloading, installing and logging in caused my phone to get really hot to the point where it almost hurt to touch the power/volume keys on the back.
