I currently have a G3, M8, and Nexus 5. The G3 is definitely my daily driver, it is a fantastic phone. That being said, I will always have a Nexus device close by for when I want to try out the new versions of Android as they are released.

To me the G3 wouldn't be an upgrade from the N5, since I don't like any UI's except stock google. The N5 is still a top phone and can hold its own. I'm waiting for the next big jump in phone tech (64bit-8core-4gb ram) before I buy another flagship device. My N5 will serve me well in the meantime. For that matter, my N4 is still a good phone to use also.

But hey, do whatever floats yer boat.
