Sprint, custom Text Message Tones

I havent been able to set up custom tones for texts from different people.

is it only me, or is it not available on the sprint G3 ?

I assume you are using the stock Messaging app and not a 3rd party one, correct?

I am on T-Mobile and am experiencing the same. It looks like only the AT&T variant retained this option from the stock firmware. Kind of disappointing that there is still this much fragmentation between carriers on the same hardware. Kind of like how the T-Mobile variant has the brightness slider in the notification shade, but the AT&T variant does not. I would rather have the custom notification tone option.
