Need help on Quadbeat 2 headphones

I recently purchased a Hong Kong unlocked G3 D855 from an Asian seller. The phone is great but the headphones that came with it sounds like crap. I googled some pictures of the Quadbeat 2 and the buttons on it does not look like mines. I'm wondering if the seller switched originals out for some cheap knock offs. Or does the headphones really sound terrible?

The one I have some pics here to show what mines look like. The main thing is the volume control part. Nowhere in Google can I find a Quatbeat 2 that looks like that, with the + and - engraved instead of sticking out, and the center is suppose to be a dot, not a phone. There also seem to be some defect on the jack leading out to the cable. And there is a big piece of spur on the buds when I take the rubber piece off

Can you all confirm that all your headphones does not look like mines?

Mine are black and the markings on the control are different. The plus and minus are thin and cut in to the material and the center button is just a dot.

These are the official, but marking may vary on the white variety I'm not sure.

Either way the Quad beat headphones are very very very poor.
