My wife bought an LG G3 and as such received QuadBeat 2 earphones with them, and I have a Sony Xperia Z2. For some reason, the button which would usually be Play/Pause/Answer Call is only functioning as Volume Up - so in essence using these earphones, I have 2 volume up buttons.
Is this because of Sony's 5-pin design of the earphone jack for noise cancellation features of their own headsets, or is it because LG used a non-standard specification to prevent use on non-LG devices?
Can anybody suggest anything to fix this issue? I have tried several remapping apps, including Jay's Headset Control, Headset Button ControllerTrial and Ultimate Headset Controller and none of these apps successfully remap the button to a different function.
