LG G3 "Media" Process - MicroSD related?

Hey guys,

Noticed I had an app running on my G3 that my wife's doesn't have running.

It's just called "Media". I have an SD card and she doesn't not...

Is this process just related to the SD card?

Welcome to Android Central! It is most likely related to the SD card. Is it using a lot of battery?

It's probably the Media Scanner, which looks for media files in all storage areas.

And if you have a corrupted media file, or an SD card with a corrupted directory entry, the Media app can run forever, using a lot of battery.

Very simple to test: Take the SD card out and see if the process stops running.
