Google Now recommended this Droid life article for me. Looks like the look of LG's software won't change very much with lollipop. This is probably an early build though.

calm down guys its only early build not final or semi final because even the nexus devices didn't get the lollipop yet

I would expect LG's release of 5.0 will have an LG look and feel. That's the major way manufacturers try to differentiate their phones.

But like every other Android phone, you'll be able to theme the heck out of it, and make it look just like the garish, ugly overwraught Material Design if you want to.
