Gesture Sensor

I have a G3 and my gesture sensor does not seem to work. I have calibrated my phone twice already.

I just want to be able to silence my phone by flipping it over.

Does anybody have any clue?

Sounds like can either be one of two things or both.

Either the software is acting up or the actual hardware is acting up.

Can't help much on the software side besides mention a factory reset.
However if you would like to check out your sensors, try this app, I currently have on my phone as well as previous phone and tablet:

It has a pretty good rating and once you get in, you can check out your accelerometer in action, as well as see who made it
