How can i stop downloads to my phone ??

can anyone please help me??- my phone has started downloading by itself- has been running for hours now and I cant seem to stop it

What is it that is downloading....an app update or something else?

You might have it set to update all apps. In the settings tab in the play store set update over wifi only.

under notifications its downloading 6 files- female for german, female for spanish, etc. nothing seems to stop it including turning off phone, changing settings, cleaning out cache...any suggestions would be welcome as this is driving me mad !!
