Google Search abends and restarts LG G3

Lately, anytime I try to start Google Search (main home screen widget) in either voice mode or typng mode, the app starts, then freezes momentarily, then the phone does a shut down and restarts.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Running 4.4.2 on Sprint. Keeping my fingers crossed that lollipop may correct, but not holding my breath.

Thanks to everyone that comments or reads!

Welcome to Android Central! Go to Settings>Apps>All, select Google Search, and Clear Cache/Clear Data. Now try again.

Done twice now no chage.
Google Maps has joined in with the restart when selected
Google Play Music also started playing back at random volume levels today, too.
Thanks for the reply, still keeping hope that there is an easy fix for all this.

Have you tried Safe Mode to see if the problems persist or go away? If they go away, then some app you installed is causing the instability--the challenge then is finding out which one. You may have to uninstall apps one by one until the problem disappears. https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11934

Phone restarts in Safe Mode as well. Is it possible this is due to the Sprint LG G3 update that came trhough in early December?

Re: Google Search abends and restarts LG G3

Perhaps i am the only person experiencing this. Cleared cache, cleared settings (caused reboot/restart). Google App (Search) sometimes works, sometimes reboots/restarts. Google Maps same way. Not 100% one way or another. Safe mode has no impact. Have tried clearing other caches/apps as well. Anyone out there who can help ?? Trying not to restore to factory settings as I have work apps that will be a ROYAL pain to reload and reset with work.

I know you don't want to do a factory reset but it sounds to me like at this point in it that might be your only other option. Just make sure you back all your stuff up. It will fix your issues.

Re: Google Search abends and restarts LG G3

SOLVED !!!

Found this solution for Google Play issue at this url,
which worked as follows:

https: slash slash code.google.com slash p slash android slash issues slash detail?id=65826#makechanges

This method solved this problem on my phone, samsung galaxy s3 mini
this method works.
But, additionally you'd prefer to enter Account settings (android 4.0.4) and select account, properties -> delete account, and re-add it (again old account)
Thanks again.

1. Enter Settings
2. Apps
3. Select All- tab
4. Select Google Play Store
5. Force Stop
6. Clear data
7. Return
8. Select Google Services Framework
9. Force Stop
10. Clear data
11. Restart device
+1 Enter Google play also close or(do not turn them on)
the updates thanks to you my friends its sort it out with this

12a, Readded same existing Google Account

13a. Performed steps 1 through 11 above.

After second reboot, all appeears Ok.
