Calls going to voicemail when phone has signal

Hi,

I’m new to Android and have an LG G3 D855 running stock 5.0 (V20f).

I’ve noticed that sometimes although the phone displays decent signal, incoming calls go straight to voicemail. The phone doesn’t show a missed call. :'(

The phone’s network mode is set to prefer ‘GSM/WCDMA/LTE auto’. Has anyone else come across this issue?

Make sure in the settings that connection priority is set to voice instead of data. You could be missing some calls while using your mobile data.

I'm on Three UK. Where can I find the connection priority setting? I'll give that a go.

What ur postcode did u heck coverage and have u tried three threeintouch app

It depends on the phone and the carrier. Have a look in settings and in the first group there must be something like "SIM settings" / "phone settings" ... If not maybe it's under your carrier settings.

In my phone it's the first one under "wireless and network" settings. Unlocked.

In my g3 there is a setting to always forward calls. Check that's not on.

I found it under:settings. Call. Call forwarding.

Javier P - I cannot find that setting anywhere.
chimpboy74 - I checked and that is disabled.

LG advised me to factory default the phone, which i've done Will monitor it today...

I'm getting a similar issue with my LG G3 on the Three network. I suspect it's been happening for a while, but in the last week or so, it's been clear I've got a problem

I've run a couple of tests and if I make a call out, then I can receive calls for about 30 minutes before I stop receiving them. That is despite my phone showing 2 bars of signal. I'm on a PAYG SIM, no that should make any difference?

Now interestingly it happens on the Three In Touch app (VOIP service) as well. I thought at first it might be the network getting confused on whether the call needed to be routed via the app or via the mobile network, but the problem even happens when I've got the phone set to airplane mode, but with WiFi swiched on (so I theory there should be no connection with the local cell).

Conversely the problem also occurs on the core mobile network, with the app uninstalled.

This would seem to indicate its a network problem to me.

I've raised the issue with Three, and am expecting a call back on Friday - if they can get hold of me but it would be good to see f anyone else has a similar issue?
