Lolipop update colors change

I have a Verizon G3 phone that just got updated with lolipop today.
My home buttons/menu bar and top notification bar are neither white or black but a bright orange/red. changing the color in "settings"/"display"/"Home touch buttons" changes nothing...
Does anyone have the same issue, and even better, a fix?

Alright. Just after posting, I found a fix: I reloaded my wall paper (the free version of snowfall) and everything went back to normal.
I keep the post in case someone had the same issue.

My G3 is with T-Mobile, and I think it did that for battery saver mode.

Verizon has the same thing... Don't know why the home buttons change to black though.... Pretty annoying
