Last night I started getting a "Invalid card" popping up on my LG G3. I removed and reseated the SIM card but couldn't clear the error. As a last resort before going to the AT&T store, I performed a "Factory data reset" on the phone.

After the reset completed, the problem is gone.

In the days leading up to this, my LG G3 would frequently drop off the Wifi and wouldn't automatically connect to my Bluetooth headset nor car. After the reset, the Wifi has been rock solid. I wonder if all this was related.

This was the first issue that I have had with my LG G3 in the 11+ months that I have owned it.

Just posting this in case someone else encounters these issues.

LG-D850, SW Android version 5.01, software version D85021q, build LRX21Y

Something similar happened to my Moto X 2013 and so I decided to retire it and did a factory reset before putting in the retired phone drawer. Amazingly enough when it rebooted it worked as good as when it was new. I then reloaded my apps, passwords, etc and will keep using it for another two years..

Well, unfortunately the fix didn't last long. Today I have the "Invalid card" popping up again. Went to the AT&T store and got a new SIM card. That did not fix the issue. So, the warranty department is sending me a replacement device. :-(

I had the same issue last week. I took the phone to an AT&T store the next morning. The AT&T service rep tried to install a new sim card. Eventually he tried a factory reset. I ended up driving to one of their warranty /repair locations. AT&T eventually replaced my G3. I have to say this turned out great for me. I updated the phone to 5.01 before I left the store. Apparently, my old G3 did not do well with the update to Lollipop. Now I have the Trusted Places & Trusted Locations. Best of all I have my battery back. My phone used to get so hot you could fry an egg on my phone. My phone used to be dead by noon. Now my phone lasts 10 to 12 hours with average use. Occasionally, I'll have to top it off. As I'm a POWER user. My sim card issue was the best thing that happened to my phone. My G3 is again a beast of a phone. Now I have to break the habit of carrying around the car and wall chargers!
I hope your situation turns out as well for you.

I didn't even have to go through that with mine when it update to 5.0.1. It works flawlessly. But mine is a Sprint LG G3.
