    If you are rooted, you can install G3 TweaksBox and hid any of the icons you wish. It's an amazing application, I highly recommend it.

    I use nova launcher and it gives me the option.
    I do not believe Nova will allow you to do this.

    Yeah, with Nova launcher you can hide the whole status bar but not specific icons on there. If you swipe down from the top edge the stock bar will show up, and it will be there when using an app without immersive mode.

    As xocomaox said, partial changes in the bar only with root access.
