So my friend ended up rooting my phone after I got it back from him and now when it asks me to sign in I put all my details in and it ends up saying google cannot connect to the severs and I haven't been able to do anything (sign into Gmail accounts,go on google play store,etc) I need help please its been like this for a good few weeks and I've tried all the ideas I have had and they all end up a failure

I'm not sure what your friend did. How did they root your phone? Did they install a ROM or is it just stock? What is your model number and carrier?

I don't think anyone can help you without more information. Personally it sounds like a Factory Reset is step 1 for you, but I'd find out the method your friend used to get root and then search for other people who might be experiencing the same problem. Of course I'd also say that Step 1a should be to backup your whole phone. Did they install a custom recovery?
