My lg 3 says I need to insert a SIM card but it's in

My lg3 phone is not responding to the SIM card in it. I've tried cleaning it and making sure it's in correctly and restarting it with the sim in it. Still not responding to the SIM card. Help anyone please

Hello! Welcome to Android Central! It might be best to go to your carrier and get a new sim card.

I had the exact same issue and I have sprint. And, they told me it was a hardware issue and since I have insurance on it, they are replacing the phone. The really cool thing, there is some sort of system glitch in their system, they are replacing my g3 with a g4 and it doesn't count as an upgrade. So, best bet is to take it to your carrier and see what they can do.

This happened with my old Optimus G. I had an old 8 gig card laying around and slid that in and it worked fine. Never got my 32 gig to work right again. I've read articles about SD cards being kinda a finicky technology. But hey, like the one guy said, if you get a new phone, that's cool.

Probably a bad Sim card
