Loss of sound

I've recently been experiencing problems with my LG G3.

My phones loud speaker has stopped emitting sound, I can still get sound through the headphone jack but nothing from the rear speaker.

On some occasion the sounds will come through the speaker but they don't last for long and sometimes when the sound is coming from the speaker the sound breaks up.

The steps I have taken are; replacing the loud speaker part and doing a factory reset, though when I did the factory reset I restored my phone not long after, would it be worth resetting and setting up as new?

Welcome back! If the problem persists after replacing the speaker component, then the problem might lie with the connection and/or the motherboard.

I know you already did a factory reset, but it might still be worth booting into Safe Mode, to make sure the problem isn't due to some 3rd party app: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11934

I've rebooted it into safe mode and the same problems still persist.

Ah well never mind, its been good while it lasted, any reccomendations for a new device?

There are so many good devices out now that we'd need more criteria from you before making a recommendation, like price range and what's important to you in a phone.
