AC Question

After updating my phone to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, I noticed that my stock camera no longer opens. Every time I try to open it, the message "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped" pops up. I have factory reset my phone twice, cleared the camera data & cache several times, and attempted to open it in Safe Mode, but I still end up with the same results.

However, when I did an android test on my phone, I found that my front camera works, and trying to test the rear camera causes my phone to restart or results in the "Camera has stopped" message. Any attempts to open the camera with other 3rd party applications causes the same results (message or phone restart). The flashlight seems to be working properly though.

Any suggestions or solutions?

Welcome to the forums. Have you tried a different camera application?

Mod note: Moved to LG G3 forum.

Yes, I have tried, but it only results in the "Unfortunately, Camera has stopped message" or it causes my phone to restart.

Sadly, I'm not sure what else to suggest. Since you have already done a reset, I'm at a loss

Welcome to the forums! I too am at a loss on what to suggest at this point, but you could always contact LG customer support online. They responded to my queries in a timely matter (I think the following morning) when I had emailed them about an issue with my G3. How long have you had the phone? They'll probably suggest you send it in... But variables to consider would be the age of your phone, if it has any other issues, any quote(s) your carrier may give you, or what you're willing to spend for LG to fix your device.

Let us know what happens!
