Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone rooted, or did you use LG Bridge to update the phone with an official Marshmallow update?

Do you have an SD card inserted? If so, Unmount the card (in Settings>Storage), remove it, then reboot. Does the Mediaserver problem persist?

Insert the card into your computer, then backup as much as you can right now. Then run chkdsk to look for bad sectors: http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...d-sd-card.html.
