With heavy heart, I am giving up LG G3 for the Moto G4 Plus (I am still trying to tap on/off on the Moto G4 Plus!). Got the G4 Plus for $200 from a promotion that was on AC Central news from B&H Photo. B&H Photo was easy to order & Tax free. They did get me for $14 more for a mini 10000 mah Asus portable quick charger. I really wanted Nougat, which the LG G3 will not get (stock wise). The performance of the LG G3 was adequate for me, but gained more performance with the Moto G4 Plus low end octo-core. However, on the G3, i was having slow rendering when I go back to the home screen, waiting for it to draw the screens. The G4 Plus has 64GB internal memory, but really, I never even came close to filling up the LG G3, probably due to the fact I keep my music in Google Play Music (about 8 GB). But best of all, the battery on the G4 Plus is phenomenal. My G3 could not last me an afternoon. I am very happy with my purchase so far. All for $200 (well $214 with the upsell portable charger).

Battery life on my G3 when new was very good. It's not so good nearly 3y later, but it certainly isn't bad. I keep meaning to reset it and start afresh to see what that would do.
I can report that double-tap-to-wake doesn't work on the iPhone 5s either, no matter how many times I absentmindedly do it.
