Change the G3's screen out with the G4?

Hi,
I have gotten this maybe a bit odd idea, but could it maybe be possible to replace the LG G3's display out with the G4's?
I know it is possible to replace the G3's screen with a new G3 screen, but is/will it be possible to replace with the G4?

If it was that easy what would be the point of upgrading.

I wish I could change the a Note 4 Edge's finger print scanner to the S6/edge.

Do you mean the LCD or glass or digitizer or the whole thing and SoC and software to support it?

You would have neither a G3 nor a G4, but a sort of G3.5, and furthermore, one which did not work.

Not possible you would have as much luck putting an s6 screen on it

I think the G4's display is wider, so it probably wouldn't fit. I'm not sure what else it would entail either, but I imagine you could have trouble getting the connections to work together or also getting the software to work with a different display. But it is kind of a fun Frankenstein idea to think about lol.
