Phil & Forum Members - How is the plastic frame holding up?
I went to look at the G4 today and it felt great in the hand, was not a great fan of the UI but I am a Nova user so that is easily fixable.
How is the plastic frame holding up? Do you feel it will scratch and mark up easily if not used with a case? I am always careful, example never putting my phone in a pocket with anything else.
Thanks in advance!

No problems here, tan leather back and it's been in and out of my pockets, kicking about on my desk with no problems. Can't stand putting a case on this due to how good that back looks. Sides look like they can take some punishment. Same can't be said for my Note 4 though.

I have a case but the plastic back seems decent enough if you are careful with the phone

More interested in the sides. Back can be replaced.

Also interested in this just want to know if its anything like the Galaxy S4 (that plastic edge is shocking).
What I mean is will it go White after impact like the GS4?

I'm a dumbass and dropped my phone twice in rocks yesterday, screen of fine and I do have a glass screen protector on it. Black leather back has a nick and another spot you can barely see from hitting the rocks. The plastic sides, at first I thought it had a scratch but wiped right off, was just dust from a rock. So I would say the frame is no problem.

I'm using a spigen thin fit case. Which is pretty and all. But I need one that wraps around all the way to the front of the phone. Last week I dropped the phone onto the concrete coming out of the car. Case held on tight. Not one scratch on the phone or the case. Couple days later I noticed a scratch /chip on the very top near the sensor. It's really bugging me.

Used the T-Mo preview device for about a month with no case. Phone still looks brand new. I don't have any worries about this phone that I wouldn't about any other. If you drop it, it will show, but I don't think it picks up any scratches easily or anything.

I have the grey plastic back and haven't had any problems. However, I am very careful when plugging in the usb charger. The charging port and heaphone jack are usually what gets marked up on both metal and plastic phones, but so far so good.
Re: Phil & Forum Members - How is the plastic frame holding up?
My plastic frame is not doing as well as others here. Had my phone out of a case for a few days, usually in a bag or jacket pocket or on my desk and I noticed two small nicks on the frame. Never dropped the phone so I'm not too sure how it happened. I have the T-Mobile leather version btw, was really planning on going naked. I ended up buying a Spigen Air Cushion case (champagne crystal) to protect it.
