On the HTC M9 when a notification shows up on the lock screen you can tap it to immediately open that app. On the G4 (at&t) When you tap it you then have to unlock the screen, and then it takes you to the app.
How do you remove the unlock step?(On a phone with no security options on. Only swipe to unlock.)

I thought that was weird as well. I just shut off notifications on the lock screen.

Similarly, even without an active notification, I have to swipe to get to my home screen even though smart lock knows I'm at home. It should take me directly to my home screen

Does seem to skip the unlock step, but still requires and extra step (opening the notification).

True. Doesn't really bother me because it lets me see if it's something i need to address right away. If it's email that i don't need, just delete from the lockscreen without having to open the app.
