Is there a way to set the soft keys to hide whenever the keyboard is up? I use SwiftKey keyboard and I checked the app box next the button settings but that changes my default keyboard back to the LG stock keyboard and still doesn't hide the soft keys. It only hides if I go into the SwiftKey app to change settings.

Sorry you've had no reply. I was unable to think of a solution when I read your post a couple of days ago and it looks like other members can't either.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I believe you have to disable it for the individual app that you are using the keyboard in.

rdt595 is on it... go to settings->display->home touch buttons, & you should see this:

Tap Hide home touch buttons & you'll see a list of apps; check the ones for which you want to hide the buttons. Don't have Swiftkey but assume it will be an option, as the Google keyboard is for me.
