Setting a unique ringtone for a specific contact on a LG G4

I can't set a unique ringtone for my Husband's number on my new LG G4. Why?

Welcome to the forums!

Open your husbands contact via the people/contact app. There should be an option under edit that allows you to assign a unique ringtone. Let us know if you see the option there or if you have follow-up questions.

I've done that already and the Ringtone field is grayed out. It won't allow me to enter anything in this field. In the Ringtone field is says Ringtone ID. I don't know how to edit this. Please help. Thank you.

The phone by default generates a unique ringetone for everyone in your favorites list based on the number. Either remove your husband from your favourites (not recommended ) or go to settings and sounds and notification and turn of ring id. Now you can assign a ringtone as described in the previous post.
