1080p or higher videos to youtube

Hi today I uploaded a video to YouTube recorded on my lg g4 in HD uhd and fhd but after it uploaded I could only play back to a definition of 480p max. Do you guys know why or what do I ave to do to make it greater ? Thanks

Actually, I forgot, my GF took a video at an event and I put it up on YouTube back in July - default settings, there's a 1080P quality option.

The test one I did just now too has a 1080P option (set to UHD recording) - just uploaded it straight through the YouTube app on the phone, nothing special.
