LTE on Koodo with LG G4 H815

I got an unlocked LG G4 H815. I am with Koodo in Canada and on the top of the phone it says 4G I am in a LTE area and with my old phone the Samsung Galaxy s4 it showed LTE. Why douse it not say LTE? In the Settings >about phone >network it says LTE. Is my phone LTE if there any thing i need to do. Did a speed test and get 29MB.

The H815 will show LTE as 4G. You can download one the LTE apps like this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.simplyadvanced.ltediscovery&hl=en to check if you are on LTE or not.

What some carriers call LTE isn't exactly true and some phones don't show the marketing hype and thus display 4G.

My G3 was unlocked and I had a LTE sim card from Virgin Mobile Canada. It never said LTE. I just chalked it up to software although I never had any proof of this.
