New Verizon G4 Update

Was just notified of a system update. It's 414.9MB and I am downloading it now.

Me too, but odd thing is, it starting downloading automatically. I never authorized it, I just happened to notice it downloading when I looked at the phone.

I am hoping this is the Stagefright security patches. I'll run the test after it finishes updating.

I got the update as well, there were 2 of them. I would assume its for stagefright

Doubt this is just the stagefright fixes considering the size. It's probably more like AT&T s update and includes other improvements.

Just finished installing and software updated to 12A.

Lookout Stagefright Detector = Not Vulnerable, Everything is OK
Zimperium Stagefright Detector = Vulnerable, passes 7 of 8 tests

CVE-2015-6602 Failed, this is the Stagefright 2.0 Vulnerability.

I would guess that at 414MB, this is more than just "security patches". But, of course, that remains to be seen.

Probably complete placebo but I haven't really had any missed touches since installing this. I usually really notice when typing (using SwiftKey), but so far so good.

I'm rooted with 11A and have been having horrible touch screen issues since basically day one

Hopefully 12A fixes that and I can side load it

Flashlight has much less of a delay now.

Also as someone noted, the charging notification now shows estimated time until fully charged.
