Is there a way to change the background color of the Smart Notice?

I kind-of like the Smart notice thing, even if it's too large. But the background colors are killing me.

The option to change the colors automatically is checked but grayed out, so I have no way to change it. Anyone know if this can be done?

There isn't a way to do it manually, so we're kind of stuck with what it picks when it comes to background colors. Do you have your wallpaper set to Multi Photo by chance? It won't let you pick automatic color changing on multi photo for some stupid reason.
