White Square since Marshmallow Update

I own an LG G4 and I'm currently using AT&T. Since the Marshmallow update I have a white square on top left of my screen in the notification bar which is unresponsive and is going nowhere. I tired restarting the phone but it didn't help. Any ideas on what it is/ what it implies and how I can make it disappear?
