Why is battery draining so fast after upgrading to Marshmallow??

Why is battery draining so fast after upgrading to Marsh mellow?? Using LG G4

Recently i updated to Marsh mellow from lollipop but I really feel that my battery is draining faster than before.. Please help

Welcome to Android Central! Charge up to 100%, then let it drain to 20-30% with normal usage, without charging in between. Then show us:


1. The main Settings>Battery screen.
2. The fullscreen battery graph screen (which shows Awake time and Cell Signal Strength).
3. The Screen category (to see total Screen On time).
4. The Cell Standby category, if present (to see Time Without Signal).

Everything I was reading said do a factory reset after downloading.
Not sure if this helped but I did it and I'm not having any issues with my battery.

I've found that after a few weeks my battery life on standby has improved greatly. I couldn't believe at first how fast it drained and was looking at going back to lollipop.
I think it was probably due to apps needing to update.
Last night when I went to bed it was on 40%. 8 hrs later it was on 38.
My advice would be just to stick with it and see .
