Strange Speaker sensor issue

Hi there,

Since a couple of days i have a really strange problem with my LG G4.
Sound through headphones and the earphone are working great, but the speakerphone does nothing.

Only if i play a voice message in whatsapp, and i put the phone against my head (or put my hand on the sensor), the speaker does work.
So the speaker itself is not broken.

I tried stopping whatsapp and all other apps, and rebooted the phone a couple of times, but no luck yet.
Does anyone have any idea as of why the speakerphone would only work when the 'near your head' sensor is active?
