I'm looking to move to a smaller device from my Note 4 before the warranty expires. (Then again I was considering the V10, but that's besides the point) I like to upgrade a year late that way the devices are significantly discounted. I'm a penny pincher of sorts. Anyway, how much sense would it make to upgrade to the G4 today. I've never had an LG device and it needs to last me one year. How dependable are they? Are there significant slow downs? My Note 4 is moving terribly slow now and I'm having SD card corruption issues.

    Let me know thanks!

My G4 is still running great, but it is a refurbish roulette version after my first one got the bootloop. I think it's still a pretty good phone performance wise, but I would only buy one new if possible. With the bootloop issues, I would avoid any used G4's and refurbished phones (regardless of phone make/model) are just too hit and miss for my tastes.

If you can find a Best Buy that has them in stock, you can get it for around $350 with a $200 gift card.

No, I wouldn't buy LG G4, I bought 2, one for me and another for my sister. BOTH had the bootloop problem and mobile just dying. LG never recalled them or offered any explanation of the problem that many suffered worldwide. Search YouTube or these forums under LG G4 and there's a heap of negative posts and videos. I bought a used Note 4 and a new battery and It's much better than the LG G4. Also have a Priv as my prime device.

$350 - $200 = $150.. Best Buy lets you use the gift card as a down payment on the phone with a AT&T next plan. I did it with the G4 I bought my wife several months ago. Paid around $400 for the phone, $200 gift card, and I'm paying about $8 a month for the phone for 24 months.

Don't do it. Phone could bootloop at any time and LG's customer service is horrible.

Come off it. You aren't guaranteed a boot loop phone. Mine has been working great since buying it last nov. The cheaper you can get the better. It has a fantastic screen, camera, more then enough cpu power. Battery life is around average, you can carry a second if you need. Lots of cases available for it.

Agreed. If you don't get caught up in all of the hype for the new phones, the G4 does everything most would need it to, and does it well. Mine did just bootloop last month after owning it for 13 months. AT&T sent me a refurbished G4, and I'm good to go.

I've had my G4 since the first week they came out. I've had no issues with it and it still performs fantastic. It's fast and smooth, takes great pictures and is fairly easy to see outside in bright sun light.
I use a Samsung 128GB EVO SD card in my 32gb Verizon G4.
I've really had no desire to switch to anything else although the new PIXEL has caught my eye as well as the V20, I'll still keep my G4 until late spring when it's all paid for before pulling the trigger on something new and only then if these new phones seem better than what I have and what I have is a really nice smart phone!

I have had a LG G4 since it came out and I have had zero issues with it. Now that being said mine is a h-812 Canadian model. Not sure how that is different from the rest. Now if my G4 died today I'd take a hard look at the V10 what can I say I like big phones.
