Have had the phone for about a week, moving from the V10 which spoiled me with its camera (I am a hobbyist photographer). I've read some overall positive reviews about the G5's cameras but notice 2 things off the bat:
1. The wide angle camera tends to result in lower quality/mottled/fuzzy shots at 100%
2. Both cameras tend to result in photos with high grain or noise even at low ISOs (50, 100, etc.) and well lit conditions.
I'm picky with my camera and like to have the cleanest shots to work with. Granted, it's not a DSLR and yes I can use that for more important shots, but in comparison to those on the V10, I didn't notice these soft or grainy issues as much. I feel like things are slightly out of focus or mottled. Or maybe I'm just spending too much time pixel peeping and should just accept it
Example with wide angle, ISO 50 auto. Very soft and mottled at 100%

Example with regular lens, ISO 50 auto. Good focus but bokeh is grainy.

Other times I get lucky and get some cleaner shots like those here, with the help of a filter and minor adjustments:

It's been inconsistent. What are your experiences/suggestions?
