What is your LG repair experiance?

So I sent my G5 in for repair today due to the instability of the GPS.
Before placing it in the box I called LG to find out if they actually attempt to repair or do they send a refurb?
I was shocked to hear the representative state that if it cannot be repaired they send a new one. I repeated that back to the Rep and he reconfirmed that they replace with new. I have my doubts, but we shall see.

So I'm wondering what others have recently experienced with LG repairs.

I would hate to get a refurb unless it is in the same condition as mine
