New G5 owner, can't download anything with it?

So, picked this up today, and gave my wife my G4.. seems OK so far (the speaker sucks), but one major glitch - I can't download anything. Like say, a photo. When I try to save, I hit the button and nothing happens. It's like the "save" button is just a picture. It doesn't work. And when I go to select a download location, "mnt" is greyed out, so I can't set the downloads folder on either the internal memory or sd card. Greyed out text what doesn't react when I click on it. Same thing for pretty much every other folder. So.. what'd I break?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have a screen-dimming app installed, like Lux or Twilight? If so, try uninstalling it. Screen dimming apps can cause onscreen buttons to malfunction.

I'm surprised to hear you say that about the speaker. Mine sounds better than the two front-facing speakers of my Nexus 9.

I think the speaker is great
