The G5 is a very good device, with or without the modules. It has a great display and feels good in the hand, and it's a decent size to boot.

I've been rocking my G5 without a case for the past couple of weeks since I got it. I finally ordered one and it'll be here tomorrow. Definitely grab a case asap. The G5 seems to willingly slide out of your hands.

I got a glass screen cover and uag case on mine from day one. Urban armor gear and Spigen cases seem good to me.

Me too. Very fast and camera is an upgrade from the G4

Does her phone have screen bloom or distortion when glass is lightly touched? Every display model I've seen does it with barely any pressure. If retail units are like that I won't be able to tolerate it

Mine does not do any of that. I think the build is solid actually. I do use a thin case but screen is great.
