LG Support (GPS ISSUE) for an aftermarket phone?

I recently purchased a G5 via Craigslist. The phone is essentially brand new and is working great, with the exception of the GPS attena. I understand that this is a known issue and that the solution is to hve LG replace the main module. Will I be able to get that done given that I bought this aftermarket? Is there anything specific I should know or do prior to contacting LG?
