GPS not working fine anymore

Hi,

one of my friends have a LG G5 and her phone has the GPS that seem to not work properly anymore. In short, when she turns it on, after a while (even just seconds) the GPS stop working and she receives messages like there is no GPS signal anymore. As if she turned it off. Then the signal maybe come back, then off again.

She tried with both Google Maps and Waze and both gave her the same issue.

Is there a way to fix it or to make some test or does that mean she just need to change phone?

I read that there's an issue with the gps module connection becoming loose. There are vids online on how to fix it but I think it's better to take it to a technician.
