First one is taken on rainy day (stock app on auto). Second one is taken few days later on cloudy day (stock app on auto). No editing only resize. First one is 18:9 and second one is 16:9. 4:3 uses max MP but Im not sure if that will make any difference in quality.

Ian, you just have an eye. Im still struggling with this super odd camera. one shot is great and second turns with that awfull post processing sharpening/posterizing (mostly noticable on leaves and faces, not closeups). Ofcourse this is only noticable when zooming the taken pic. Google cam gives a bit too dark pics but there isnt such a problem like on stock cam. I will need to check it again.
