just bought the G6 and I love it! I'm missing the vanilla android launcher from my Moto X Pure Edition, though. Can anyone suggest a launcher that emulates that?

Nova and Action Launchers can pretty much be whatever you set them up to be . . Google Now Launcher is simple and clean. . I am using Lawnchair right now which emulates the Pixel Launcher.

Actually I found the stock LG G6 launcher to be pretty simple/stock if you use the "all apps" one and then manual remove the apps you don't want so that it looks the way you want. That's how I rolled for quite a while ( I also came from moto ) . . .

I think I read somewhere that Google is doing away with the Google Now launcher? I really miss the icons and the ability to swipe overt to the Google Now feed.

Nova has a companion app that allows you to swipe over to the Google feed like the now launcher. It's not on the play store, but you can get it from their website and side load it

Thanks! I'll check this out. I've installed Nova and got it set up just like I like it!

This is exactly what I was looking for. I also tried the Google Now launcher but found the icons just a bit too large. Nova + the Companion app looks fantastic. Thanks again!

I'll post a screenshot soon.

My home screen. If it's not one of these folders, I probably don't need it. 😉
