SD Card Unexpectedly Removed

This has happened a couple of times on my G6, the OS warns that the SD Card was unexpectedly removed. My G4 was doing this to the point that the card became corrupt, and I ended up warrantying the phone.

The last time this happened on my G6, I had to reboot the phone for it to recognize the card.

Has anyone else seen this behavior?

This kind of thing can happen on any phone or with any card. It could be that the card is getting corrupt, or that the card reader is malfunctioning (perhaps due to dirty contacts, or debris in the SD slot).

I had this issue with my brand new sim card. So I removed it and wiped off the fingerprints on it. And it's worked just fine since. I may have blown out the slot as well.
