3rd SOT and GSAM verify

I've added GSAM to validate. I might be an exception. But wow! When I took the screen shots, I waited to charge up, do GSAM is about 15 minutes longer.

Wow, thanks for sharing @pkguy323 it's always a great occasion when our devices hit that beautiful 8 hour mark for SOT 😃 That 3,300mAh battery is obviously pulling out all the stops. Great to see. Hopefully going forward, more and more devices can start providing battery life in the 8+ range!

Re: 2nd Battery test...wow!

I removed the LG apps as well, but the phone keeps nagging me to reinstall them. Is there a way to shut that off?

Not sure since I did a factory reset before setting my phone up and when it was resetting it asked if I wanted to install any of the LG bloat. I unchecked all of it and carried on with the reset. Its never asked to reinstall them since then. I remember on one of my others I uninstalled them from the app manager and once it told me there were updates.

Check in the update center and see if you can turn notifications off, or maybe in the notifications center in settings.

Wow! Duly Impressed!!!

Day 2 of Testing: Off charger at 5am, battery down to 3% at 10:20pm. SOT 8h30m.

Details: No AOD, no battery saver, no quick charge ups. Screen at 40%. Location on High Accuracy. Beam off. Gestures off. Cloud print off. 'Ok Google' voice activation on. Play Store auto update Off. I use dark theme with black wallpaper and lock theme. VoLTE is off. Wifi calling off. Low Power Estimation Off. Display dims at 2 minutes. Wifi on when plugged in or screen on... off when screen is off and unplugged.

QuickMemo+ was uninstalled on date of purchase as it's a major battery hog Greenify app used. Wifi-BT on. Location Wifi-BT scanning turned off.

Pics provide the data. 2 days solid battery stats.

Is "gestures" just the calling gestures?

I'm still only able to squeeze 4 hours SOT on a really good day, and with that, the battery itself only runs for about 12 hours. My two highest battery consumers according to GSam are "Call services" and "Kernel." I don't know what it is within either of those that's mostly responsible though. There is also a lot of "Active" time on my phone even when the screen is off.

You should download a wakelock detector and figure out what's keeping your phone active.

These are my stats from yesterday. Screen brightness has a significant effect on the screen on time. So if you can, lower it whenever possible. Obviously to a comfortable level which you can still see, but I found the OS auto brightness was often unnecessarily bright.

I've now started using the Lux app to set my own auto brightness values. So far I'm very happy with it.

I used to live lux, but for some reason it would kill my battery on this phone.. maybe I'll try it again, what do you normally set your brightness to?

Well I have set Lux to adjust dynamically, but I have manually set data points for it to follow as below, also setting maximum to 70%. So far I haven't seen any adverse battery usage from the app, just 3mah over 10 hours.
