Phone idle killing battery

The thing that uses the most battery is phone idle. I'm sure it's because my job is a cell reception black hole. My phone just sitting for hours and tried to find a signal. Any way around this, when I turn on WiFi it gets worse.

My phone idle is 15% regularly and the #1 battery use culprit. But overall battery life is fine for me. As for answers for you, I am not sure what to say or what you can do. Airplane mode? :-/
